Pass the Rubicon, sire!
Here comes a ride on the emotional wire
Never really knowing what game we play
Yet still determined to do it "our way"
Time is just a metaphor
For all the trails we've gone
Crime is just another whore
Choosing survival of the fittest one
Here comes the love
You've always been waiting for
Mysteries in the web we spin
Like flies we were caught in the wind
Squirming for a way back home
In this bubble we roam
Distance is measured by more than
Where we are & where we've been
You're vehicle just another shell with a motive
Proverbial chunks of fortitude
Blown by as the tsunami flows past the bar
Realize you have no reason to worry, dude
Pick up the pieces of your puzzle, the psychic food
And put them back together again, Mana-man
Humpty Dumpty also took his fall
And he was just an egg
Able to summon all the King's men
To try & put him back together again
Because your truth is recognized in laughter,
My friends...

As She Says
Ghosts from the past
Sleep into my conscious mind
Spirits weep the mystery
Of sages left behind
Hearts break like sticks in the wind
As the Mighty Oak carries on
Life breaths new history
Into the seeds beneath the ground
Listen to the sound
Listen to the sound
The Earth is calling you
She wants to save you as she says,
"There can be no life without you
Tend to the wounds that broke your sail
Create from what you've been given
Tonight the light breaks through the veil."
Sleep into my conscious mind
Spirits weep the mystery
Of sages left behind
Hearts break like sticks in the wind
As the Mighty Oak carries on
Life breaths new history
Into the seeds beneath the ground
Listen to the sound
Listen to the sound
The Earth is calling you

Metamorphosis
Screams cry out in the night
As heavy metal bats swoop by in flight
Bombs drop over Baghdad tonight
Violence grips a sovereign nation with spite
Manipulating our fear in to fright
Streams send information to set the record right
Paranoid dreams & imaginations bring the smite
Communion of transformation; we must unite
No longer slaves to a system that just bites
We rise as a consciousness ready to fight
Just another memory of a future we kite
Love is the creation of Holy Light
Go towards your joy with all of your might.Friday, September 24, 2010
Strip Away the Lie (Fall From the Sky)
Take that beautiful woman lying next to you
Give a little wink & practice the art of making life
Feel the union between the two of you that eliminates strife
This is the movement love has been waiting for
Another improvement set within the soul core
Shed the tears of unity as the oceans boil war
Machine against humanity
Profit versus sanity
A million lives I've lived
Never so much tragedy
As the house we've built today
Seeded by the cards of fear
Let raindrops fall from the sky
Let solutions answer the reasons why
Never missing the sanguine high

"And so The Beast made it's way into the world through stealth. It's tentacles wrapped humanity in a web of deceit, infecting them with the disease of possession. More, more, more they cried! -- never realizing they owned nothing... Never realizing they slaved for their masters, enslaving their peers in a matrix of fear, a generation raised without fathers or mothers, only tears for years. For they wanted more, more, more they cried! --never realizing they owned nothing...
...but the debt of their sins..."

Brave Men Don't Lie
I have seen the depths of despair
A life where I thought I had no light
The demon army turned the world towards hate
Strong men forced to masturbate
And live the lie that was their father's
To hear the cries of dying mothers
Witness children burned like bits of charcoal
Madness inside & out
This is not glory
This is not destiny
This is decay
This is treachery
Please hear my story
Before I am blown away
There must be some courage
Left in the world today
Brave men stand up to tyranny
While the fearful become it
A life where I thought I had no light
The demon army turned the world towards hate
Strong men forced to masturbate
And live the lie that was their father's
To hear the cries of dying mothers
Witness children burned like bits of charcoal
Madness inside & out

War-Paint
Born in the midst of April's fool
They've been oppressing us all
In the name of school
Time to don the war-paint & unite the poor
Time to become the saint you know is in store
Wake the masses & settle the score
Eat your heart out, Satan
As Holy Angels kick down the door
Arresting those demons one rhyme at a time
Dismissing those heathens
Waving away the thought crime
Forgiving the treason
In order to restore humanity
Taking away the illusion
Renewing compassion & sanity
Invite the love that you've found
The power that gave you soul
Giving in to the source that makes
One feel whole
Never say surrender
Never say die
This you must remember
Live your life
Not the lie

Ripple Forever
Thanks for all those lies that you told me
It helped me to see right through you
If it wasn't for all those cries
That used to scold me
Guess I thought you knew me too
Been counting down the days to Armageddon
Kicking all those demons out of my bed
Trying to find a way back to Heaven
But it looks like we're going through hell instead
One candle is all it takes to light up the dark
Each individual making their mark
But don't ask me how cause I'm only winging it
When push comes to shove
Instead of quake it's time to be bringing it
Some birds may fall out of the sky
While others keep on singing it
Now I see Him so clearly
If only we could all just remember
Every choice we make
Will ripple forever
Ripple forever...
Where are we in time?
It helped me to see right through you
If it wasn't for all those cries
That used to scold me
Guess I thought you knew me too
Been counting down the days to Armageddon
Kicking all those demons out of my bed
Trying to find a way back to Heaven

What's Wrong with Psychiatry? A Psychiatrist Explains...
The only thing modern psychology seems to be doing is convincing the plebs to honor the slavery imposed by the aristocrats, and if they can't convince you to find happiness in slavery, then the only solution they offer is to force feed drugs that shut down your emotional process.
See THX-1138 for further insight.

Divine
How many times can you rhyme
Don't bite the lime; Tell me the time
What's the crime on your dime
Have you seen the end
Or do you understand
We are all just confined?
United States of America -- Leading the world in prison population, one citizen at a time.
Remember who we are
Remember your soul
You are more than just matter
When your spirit becomes whole
Every moment you have two choices
This we all know
Between FEAR and LOVE
Remember your soul
Remember who we are
Remember your soul
Remember your lives
This is more than just another role
Can you feel all the love you've been given
In spite of all that sinnin'?
Love is the emotion you can not define
We know where it begins
Even when we can't find the line
Gifted with existence; We must be Divine.
Don't bite the lime; Tell me the time

Revolution...or Evolution???
It is good to see my main man Steven Seagal fighting the "Good Fight" and still kickin' azz! However, if his plane happens to "fall out of the sky" you know it is because of this video.
What we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves.

The Skateboarding Revolution
Once upon a time, the world was ruled by a Corporate Beast that stole the forests away from the children, and imprisoned The People in blockades of cement. Their parents, enslaved by the Beast, and drudging the day away with tasks they found tedious and lame just to hang on to their place of residence, hardly noticed the destruction of a once Fair Land. With no place to play, & hence, no place to grow, the children became angry and frustrated. The parents did not have time to understand why, they were too busy slaving away for the Beast, for they had to feed their disenchanted siblings. Many parents were so busy chasing after trinkets in order to serve the Beast or gain the Beast's approval, they hardly had a moment to get to know their children. The music tried to warn the parents, but alas, they could not listen, for the Beast had turned their minds around with flashy images and monotone voices. Soon the children began lashing out at their prison walls with spray paint and vandalism and fighting amongst gangs of other children. Then, as if by Virtue, the children invented skateboarding, and they found a way to turn the concrete prison back into a playground.
But alas -- OH, BE AWARE! For the Beast is always hungry...

Come Back
I've shared drinks with vagabonds
As they told me how their life went wrong
I've gotten stoned with lawyers
As they told me their lies were for all the liars
I've crossed paths with a priest
As he told me how in life there is no beast
'Cept the one you got within
'Cept the one you got within
Tell me why'd you come down here
Tell me what is your sin?
Did ya question God
Now you've got to go it again
Did ya question God
Got to do it your own way again
Life will show you all the ways
You can go wrong
Life will show you all the plays
Learn so you go on
Just as long as we
Continue to sing our song
Tell the Jester how the Queen
Cut off her own head
Tell the Quester how the dream of freedom
Must come back instead
As they told me how their life went wrong
I've gotten stoned with lawyers
As they told me their lies were for all the liars
I've crossed paths with a priest
As he told me how in life there is no beast
'Cept the one you got within
'Cept the one you got within

It Is True
“It is true, that a little philosophy inclineth man’s mind to atheism; but depth in philosophy brings about man’s mind to religion: For while the mind of man looketh upon second causes scattered, it may sometimes rest in them, and go no further; but when it beholdeth the chain of them confederate and linked together, it must needs fly to Providence and Deity.” - Sir Francis Bacon

If It Was Not For Money
If it was not for money
Perhaps we would be motivated to clean and purify the water
Rather than pollute for profit
For one can not drink gold
If it was not for money
Perhaps a man and a woman would see each other's soul
Rather than status, rank, and vanity
For one can not be loved without virtue
If it was not for money
Perhaps the rich would see they are no better than the poor
For we all have something to learn
From one another
If if was not for money
Perhaps we would teach all of the children
As much as possible
In order to ensure a better world for all
For you can not put a price on the things that matter most
Everything that one can buy can be made
However, the experience is worth more than gold
If it was not for money
Perhaps there would be no reason to go to war
When we learn how to give instead of to take
If it was not for money
Perhaps we would let love rule
Instead of credit and finance
For the credit would be integrity
If it was not for money
Perhaps we would again listen to Mother Earth
And she would remind us who we are
Perhaps we would be motivated to clean and purify the water
Rather than pollute for profit
For one can not drink gold
If it was not for money
Perhaps a man and a woman would see each other's soul
Rather than status, rank, and vanity

What Would Jesus Do?
If Jesus came back and turned water into wine, he would be arrested for serving alcohol w/o a permit. If Jesus came back and did the fish miracle, he would be fined and probably arrested for fishing w/o a license. If Jesus came back and started healing people he would be ordered to cease and desist for practicing medicine w/o a license, and if he continued, he would be sued. If Jesus came back and used cannabis oil to cure cancer patients, he would be locked up in prison for life. If Jesus came back and actually admitted that he was Jesus, he would be locked up in a mental institution and forced to swallow prescription drugs until all he could do would be to drool and stare at the wall.

To Serve And Protect or To Harrass And Violate? That is the question...
(read this article first)
And all you sheeple that agree with this case, shame on you too! We should all be ashamed of ourselves that we would allow human beings to be locked in a cage over a medicinal plant that has never, ever, ever, ever caused an overdose, where the only harmful effect is laughter and the munchies! I am ashamed to be a member of the human race, we sell out our fellow brothers and sisters for so little these days.
If you want to go a long way towards making this country better for all, you will support the end of drug prohibition. Anyone that would enforce prohibition is supporting as well as enabling gang violence and anarchy in the streets.
Honestly, drug prohibition is used by The Powers That Be to justify the growing police state. Look around you, police officers are armed with M4 Assault Rifles, Combat Shotguns, tear gas and body armor, and crime continues to go up and up. Nothing is getting any better, it is only getting worse. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is the very definition of insanity. By supporting insanity, you also become the victim of an insane world. This is the kind of news report that would make Adolph Hitler a very proud man -- his dream, finally coming true. If you still think you are free, name one thing you can do without a license or a permit? And even then, as long as they can issue a license or permit, they can take it away -- so, essentially we are all slaves just begging for our master to leave us in peace.
I realize that many people become police officers because they want to serve and protect, and to do the right thing by serving their community, and then I'm sure they quit once they realize that is no longer in the job description. Every day it seems I see another YouTube video of a gang of police officers beating up some poor citizen for no reason, or some college student getting tased because he asked John Kerry about being a "Skull and Bones" member, or hear of some murder committed by a police officer because he thought some kid's super soaker was an AK-47. I mean, seriously, when was the last time you heard of a police officer solving a murder rather than committing one?
After all the YouTube videos featuring police brutality how come they are never brought to justice? Probably because they are out and about arresting innocent people for having a good time.

Reject the System (Love)
Love is not control; love is mercy.
Love is not revenge; love is understanding.
Love is not about what they think of you; love is about what you think of them.
Love is not about possession; love is giving all you've got.
Love is not destruction; love is what leads to creation.

The Story Behind "The Star Spangled Banner"
The other day, I read a comment on Current.com where the attitude was, "Why are you complaining about America? America is still better than X-country, etc." It helped me to realize something. What makes America great is our courage in the face of adversity. It is our ability to stand up for what is right. As much as I respect other cultures, I think sometimes they do not realize that it is our "arrogance" that keeps our government in check. It is why we are the most free land and it is what keeps us free -- we don't put up w/ the bullocks!
A great speech follows Alex's rant. Get past the rant, this speech will bring tears to your eyes. I can't believe we did not learn this in school, or if we did, it was not emphasized.
When enough positive energy permeates every intention, the effect on the world will be overwhelming.

Money & Fame (Face Your Shame)
They've got you chasing money and fame
Money and fame
They've got you chasing money and fame
Money and fame
Every time you kill a man
You kill a prophet
Now is time to take a stand
You better get up off it
When you see wreckage across the land
You'll do best to stop it
The misery in a child's cries
Is only a mystery to your eyes
When you walk away and scoff it
Allow love to break into your heart
Learn to see all that as art
Have the courage not to quit
Before you start
They've got you chasing money and fame
Money and fame
They've got you chasing money and fame
Money and fame
When the time is right
You'll know my name
Does not matter how many
Are in this game
Before we get to the glory
You have to face the shame
Money and fame
They've got you chasing money and fame
Money and fame
Every time you kill a man
You kill a prophet
Now is time to take a stand
You better get up off it

Lines In The Sky
I see white lines being drawn in the sky
Military choppers flying by
Lord, help me to
Understand the reason why...
Why we die
Why we die
While we die...
Ask God to take away your fear
Causing temptation, desire, and ego
It's not about where we are
It's all about where we go
Don't you worry your little head, I know
It's never easy when your always
On the go
Yeah, I know...
Yeah, I know...
Military choppers flying by
Lord, help me to
Understand the reason why...
Why we die
Why we die
While we die...
Ask God to take away your fear
Causing temptation, desire, and ego
It's not about where we are
It's all about where we go

If Life Was A Football Game
If life was a football game, the commentators you see on TV talking about the game would be our political leaders. They talk a lot about the game, they seem to know more about the game than you, they often have personal relationships with the coaches, players, and sometimes even the suit-and-tie-guys. These commentators even manage to display a sense of humor from time to time, so we like them, but their only real purpose is to keep us occupied, to keep us focused on the game even when not much is happening.
Then you have all the various coaches. These are the high ranking generals and colonels in comparison to the "real" world. When the game is on, these guys are the ones in command. The entire focus is on the coaches and the players now, and the coaches realize it is time for them to shine or bow their heads in shame. They know they only have a short season in which to triumph and show the world who's boss. They care about their soldiers (the NFL players), some more than others, but when the game is on, the only thing that truly matters to the coach is winning the battle. One guy goes off on a stretcher, the other guy replaces him.
Next we have the champions, the NFL players, the soldiers, if you will. These are the people that the average person watching the game look up to. These are the champions that everyone aspires to be like, they are the warriors, the brave ones that overcome the limits of physical reality. We cheer for them, we thank them for their bravery, but few of us could ever be one. More that just courage, to be a champion it takes mental fortitude, sacrifice, discipline, blood, sweat, and tears -- but in the end they are awarded the glory or walk away with the shame.
Then you have the support staff and the cheerleaders. These are the people you see on TV and the ones behind the scenes that support the message of, "Go! Fight! Win!" It does not matter to them how the team is playing, the only thing that matters is that they are there to cheer the team on and keep the player's spirits high.
Hiding in the shadows you always have the suit-and-tie-guys. The suits are the ones that own the teams, they own the commentators, they own the arenas, but even they do not own the game. However, even though they do not own the game, some of them often think they do, and they act like it, but they still have a master that no one ever sees. The suits are the kings of the arena, the controllers of the game, master's of destiny, but they do not have the power to change the game, only the power to maintain the illusion of the status quo. The suits are the Merlins controlling the Knights.
Lastly, we come to the audience, the fans. The fans get to dress up like the players; they often act and feel like they own the team. They even get to scream and yell and behave like their opinion is going to change the outcome of the game, but the hard truth is, they are merely spectators. Even their fantasy football bets (voting) do not have any affect on the game what so ever, but it does cause them to root a little harder for one of the teams.
It would seem that the fans have absolutely no power at all, however, that is the biggest illusion. Because the minute the fans stop coming to the arena, the minute the fans stop buying tickets and merchandise and the beer brand that supports their team, the commentators start to get fired, the coaches get fired, players lose contracts, even the "All Powerful" suits get fired and disappear and are never heard from again.
But as long as the fans start to come back to the arena, the game goes back to the way it was. We are again lulled into a sense of complacency. New faces fill the rolls of the commanders, controllers, players, etc., and the game goes on. For as long as "Our Team" keeps winning we'll keep on rooting for them to win!

Ode To My Father (We The People Revisited)
My father used to always repeat the phrase, "Who guards the guards?" He would sometimes just say it out of the blue, more than likely he was thinking of something related but unsaid, but most of the time he said it whenever he noticed someone of "Authority" going too far, or pushing their weight around.
In recent years, as I have witnessed the increase of tyranny around the world -- both here in the states and abroad -- that phrase of my father's has often come to mind. Who does guard the guards?
The Administrators? No... Quite the opposite, if anyone is responsible for the actions of the guards, it is the administrators that unleash them. Remember, most guards, enforcers, police officers, and soldiers are just following orders. So who guards the guards?
There is only one answer: WE THE PEOPLE!
We the people are responsible for policing the police, if you will. If we do not stand up against tyranny, the tyranny continues, and will continue to go unchecked and become progressively worse. That is, until WE THE PEOPLE stand up for our rights not only as citizens, but as human beings gifted with a creative soul, that spark that can only come from a Creator or Creative Force or Source. So tyranny is not only an affront to WE THE PEOPLE, it is also (by default) an affront to the All Mighty.
We must begin to think of all forms of tyranny as a cancer of the worst kind, for it is historically the worst thing to ravage through mankind as well as the natural world. No one is free from tyranny once it rears it's ugly head. If you are merely a witness to tyranny, you are still a victim of it. If you are an enforcer of tyranny, you are still a victim of it. Tyranny effects us all negatively, and only a very select few receive any sort of benefit from it. Yet, even the administrators of tyranny are still imprisoned by the destructive forces it unleashes. A truly compassionate individual that cares for humanity as well as the future generations must stand up to tyranny -- one must realize that their is no other choice. For if you bow before tyranny, perhaps you escaped the gallows today, but you walk away a coward, always haunted by that same tyranny. For if you walk away a coward, it is only a matter of time before you either become the victim or the usurper -- either way, all compassion is killed by the force of subjugating power.
Tyranny is anti-compassion. We must learn to love one another again, not lust after, but truly be willing to die for one another in order to preserve the nature of freedom. In death, one is set free. This is why tyranny and torture is such a vile thing, for it can last a lifetime and beyond unless the common wealth of the people begin to realize that freedom is the only way to live, without freedom you are simply a beggar waiting to die.
Finally, I would like to thank my father. He was an immigrant, and he taught me, a natural born citizen, a lot more about freedom than I ever learned in public school. It took me this long to answer his question, however, even now I can feel him smiling at me from the Other Side. Who guards the guards? We The People.

It took me this long to answer his question, however, even now I can feel him smiling at me from the Other Side. Who guards the guards? We The People.

Slogan For The Future
Here is an alternative solution that WILL save the economy and begin HEALING the world, albeit, an absolutely crazy one... Space ships! We must build space ships! End the war now, create a world where everyone receives a stellar education, and then build space ships! There are too many people, we have to get to Mars! Terra-forming Mars combined with the pioneering spirit of sending as many people to Mars as possible (that are willing to go) -- this will not only transform the world economy, it will also give people real hope and inspiration! And don't give me that bullocks about not being able to do it, of course we can! Yes WE can! Here is the slogan: "Make Space Ships Not Tanks!"
"Make Love, Not War" is still a favorite of mine, but that was so 1960's! And it seems like people don't really make love anymore anyway, they just put up with the bump n' grind. Here is the slogan for the future! It is 2010, we are officially in the future! Make Space Ships Not Tanks!

The Last War
He was a survivor of the Last War, one of the few, and so when he spoke, the children listened. "There was a time when a dark magic was cast over the world. The people were in a trance, the leaders were addicted to greed and to power, and magic paper caused men to rape and pillage Our Great Mother." One of the children spoke up, "What is power?" The old man, though he was very wise, could not explain this to a child in any way that he or she would understand. There was no "power" anymore, for the people had learned to speak for themselves.
The children began asking more questions. "What is war?" asked the loudest one.
"Yes," began more of the children, "tell us about the Last War."
A great sadness came over the old man. He was very tired of war, so tired. Even though the memories were all that was left, the horror was always lurking in the shadows of his mind. "War," began the old man. Tears were streaming down his bearded face as the memories drew near. "War... There was a time when those who were possessed by power sent those with only heart to die for their greed. Legions of madmen walked over the dead in blood soaked boots. But there was hope, as long as there is humanity, there is always hope. When those who prayed for peace realized they vastly outnumbered those that prayed for death... It was only a matter of time."
The old man became sad again. "One should never seek to go to war, one should only seek to stop it. Yet, there was a time when the spell had not yet been broken, and the land was always in peril."
The old man stopped and stared off into the sky, as if listening to some inner voice. He did not want to speak to the children any more. It was good that they did not understand war, very good. He could only pray that they never would.

How I Feel About the NWO and One World Government
Here it is, my well thought out and documented opinion. This pretty much says it all.
Original Sin
Dear God, put me in front of that dagger
So that I can prove Your will is true
Dear God, put me in front of that dagger
So that I can defend everything that rings true
Dear God, just don't let the evil
Run amok before Your legend comes true
The pyramid has every mystery locked within
We know where to end but do we know where to begin?
Was this the original text or just the original sin?
There is more to what I thought than where I have been...
Did you find the one that loves your smile, your ever-present grin?
Just another
Just another
Just another
Day in which we begin
Did you see the original
Were you the original
The original sin?

Final Hour

I'm such a lonely loser, baby
Can you see what a terrible
Piece of shit
I turned out to be?
Nothing like I promised, just me
No pot of gold at the end of this rainbow
Only compassion and understanding
Lord, I'm just another lost soul
Only God knows how much I cry for you, babe
Only God knows why I'd lie to you, babe
But only you know why I'd die for you, babe
So much misery in a dream of like mind
Will you find the key
That unlocks our perception
This time?
I can tell you why the wise men sing
While the politicians cringe
Only my heart will I bring to the fight this time
When the flames start to singe
It seems to me that only the wicked crave power
When all that bears fruit goes sour
How long will they last
If this is our final hour?
You Say You Want A Revolution?
Stimulus plan designed to create hyperinflation and kill the dollar -- check. Escalating a war against the wishes of the nation, further straining our over-stressed military -- check. Giving Interpol diplomatic immunity in the USA, effectively legalizing a foreign invasion of force -- check. Introducing scanners at airports, effectively making the porn industry pale in comparison to airport security -- check. Increasing the police state beyond all reason or justification -- check. Can anyone think of anything else The Powers That Be can do to destroy our fair land?
Oh... Almost forgot about the plague and ManBearPig!Philip K. Dick was the visionary writer that inspired Minority Report, Total Recall, A Scanner Darkly, They Live, Blade Runner. He had this "crazy" theory back in the 70's that the Roman empire never died and was still in control. Interestingly enough, if you do the research, the same 12 families still own most (if not... all) of the resources on the planet. Remember, tyranny is not an -ism, it just is.
Time is a Wave
Time is a wave. In the morning the water is calm and it seems to pass unnoticed. At night the tide draws near, renewing the edge of civilization. Every once in a while there comes a tsunami and suddenly everything is moving too fast, and for a moment it seems as if all hope is lost. Then the waters recede once again and a new age is born from the shore.

A Different Perspective On Security
In this day and age, if a red-blooded "Born in the U.S.A." patriot that loves his/her country were to pass through HS at the airport and say they noticed he was wearing a pocket knife, or (God forbid) a nail clipper, perhaps even some funny looking bottle of water -- this American Citizen could ( or likely would) be detained and grilled by Homeland Security, maybe even locked up in a jail cell without trial or jury.
Now let's say this same person passed through undetected. The plane leaves the ground without a hitch. People, even the skittish travelers, begin to calm down as tiny silver bags with peanuts and drinks are passed slowly, yet courteously, down the isle. Suddenly, a man leaps out of his seat and grabs one of the flight attendants -- the pretty one, the one you were trying to work up the courage to talk to, but will probably just say thank you to and then utter something stupid that she didn't find funny -- then the stewardess shrieks as her attacker puts his other hand around her throat and threatens to snap her neck! What's worse yet, is this strange man claims to have a bomb.
Unfortunately for this terrorist, he picked a spot just in front of our stealthy, shall we call him Captain America? Let's consider that nothing upsets this homegrown American street punk, than to see someone invading his territory and then holding such a pretty lady hostage. Nope, not much else could boil his blood like a good ol' fashioned villain threatening to do harm to some poor miss. Too bad for Mr. Terrorist, Captain America was raised not to back down to such threats.
A hush. A hulking shadow leaping into the isle. The dangerous man turning too... A shriek as the crunch of bone is heard! Feinting as the blood pours out of the hole in the back of Mister Bad Guy's neck. Captain America's blade making a sucking sound and then an audible pop as he pulls his blade from the attacker's skull. A few more shrieks, a couple more passengers feint, but ultimately there is an audible sigh, a great relief of tension as the passengers realize that another crisis has been averted. A sudden realization brings the plane to an astounding round of applause for their hero.
Only that is not what happened. While Captain America was on the ground being detained, a terrorist did slip on to the plane unnoticed. A terrorist did manage to take a young girl hostage. And even though the terrorist did not have a bomb, no one knew that when he threatened it. They were afraid. Of course they believed him! He was a terrorist!
You just turned on the evening news. What you see is that, although "The Authorities" managed to detain one terrorist at the airport, another slipped on board the plane unnoticed. In a monotone voice void of emotion, the news reporter continues to say that this plane "happened" to crash into a government building. The overall point-of-view being expressed is that "We" need to invest even more into "protecting our security."
Morale of the story? Fear of terrorism is giving in to terrorism.
