Perhaps we would be motivated to clean and purify the water
Rather than pollute for profit
For one can not drink gold

Perhaps a man and a woman would see each other's soul
Rather than status, rank, and vanity
For one can not be loved without virtue

Perhaps the rich would see they are no better than the poor
For we all have something to learn

Perhaps we would teach all of the children

Everything that one can buy can be made

Perhaps there would be no reason to go to war
When we learn how to give instead of to take

Perhaps we would let love rule
Instead of credit and finance
For the credit would be integrity
